The list of visits that were seen but never billed

A visit with no claim is money nobody is looking for.

The problem

Nobody had a list of visits that were seen but never billed. Billers tracked it however they could; the logs don't record how, so no "before" time is claimed.

What was built

The dashboard compares checked-out insured visits with the claims the billing bot has seen and lists the visits with no claim yet, per biller and insurance. Billers can mark a visit as not billable or waiting on the provider's note, and a visit also counts as billed when a clearinghouse report shows an accepted claim sent from elsewhere.

A related worklist shows visits where diagnoses landed on an extra overflow claim that likely doesn't count for risk adjustment, so billers can move them onto the visit claim. A capture monitor shows, per provider and week, how many kept visits have had a claim sent, plus claims billed to the wrong plan.

What was hard

Matching visits to claims despite typos, swapped names and duplicate desk entries took many rounds of rules. A year-to-date view also had to be fast enough to use.

Result

One query fix took the year-to-date view from 15 seconds to under 1 second; features added since bring it to a few seconds. The capture monitor went from 22 seconds to half a second. Visits corrected per week is the figure that would show the business result; it is tracked, not yet published.
